The men identified as 22 year old Kelechi Nwogu and 22 year old Ebuka Ibe were paraded at the Imo state Police command by the state police Commissioner, Mr Austin Evbakhavbokum yesterday June 7th. According to Punch, the suspects were arrested after a distress call was made to the police following the kidnapping of two siblings, 4 year old Chukwuma Ezeribe and 3 year old Chigozie Ezeribe (both pictured above) while they were returning from school at Amazu Amato in the Orsu Local Government Area.

The state police commissioner said the suspects were on their way to sell the children when they were apprehended "The two victims were being conveyed by the suspects to a prospective buyer before operatives pursued and arrested them,” he said Items discovered in the home of one of the arrested suspects, Emeka Ibe, included one locally-made revolver pistol with one round of 99mm live ammunition, one locally-made short gun with one line cartridge, one locally-made single barrel gun and two big iron cutters.
