In this post-Obama world, the discussion about race may have changed for some people, but Kim Kardashian says she's well aware that raising a biracial child won't come without its challenges.
During a junket interview with BET for her new movie Temptation, Kardshian said she's gotten advice from her pals who have biracial kids.
"I have a lot of friends that are all different nationalities and their children are biracial, so they have kind of talked to me a little bit about it and what to expect and what not to expect," she said. "But I think that the most important thing is how I would want to raise my children is to just not see color. That's important to me."
She adds that raising a child, biracial or not, is challenging enough and she's up for the adventure. "But, I also think there will be so many experiences . . . that you won't really know how to prepare for until you really go through it," Kardashian added, "so I think raising a child in general is challenging. But, I think that as long as you're really open-minded, and you don't have any preconceived ideas of how you're going to really try to raise your children, it really keeps this broad spectrum (open)."
Plus, the globe-trotting Kimye will obviously always be able to share different cultures and colors with their little one. "You want your children to travel the world and to experience different races and different cultures everywhere, so I think that would be something that is important to me to give as much information as I could."
