Veteran Nigerian rap artiste, William Orioha,
popularly known as 2shotz was on Friday, April 12, 2013 joined
with his fiancée, Precious Chidinma Jones Echeofu in holy
matrimony.
The wedding which held at the Ikoyi Marriage
Registry, Ikoyi, Lagos was attended by a small crowd. The couple arrived the
registry at around 10:30pm with a small entourage that included 2Shotz’s
parents, brother, Umunna; Sister, Chichi; bride’s mother, and other close
friends and family.
It must have been about a dozen weddings
happening at the registry on that day as the registry was quite crowded with
other brides and grooms plus family members who had come to celebrate with them
too.
While 2Shotz’ bride was dressed in a short white
dress, brown leggings and red shoes, 2Shotz was wearing a red shirt, brown suit
and black pants.
At the wedding venue, while the bride, Precious
was all agitated about the ceremony, 2Shotz did not express any emotions.
His response to a friend who congratulated him
was, ‘We thank God oh’, with a little grin on his face.
It was indeed a relief for the rapper who had
previously been linked with several ladies in the past few years. Last year,
the bearded rapper was deeply involved in a relationship with former fiancée
Georgina Apaemi, a graduate of University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, whom
the rapper openly proposed to at the City Mall, Lagos only to break it off
months later after he reportedly ‘felt she was wasn’t the right one’.
Prior to dating Georgina, the Umunnamu
Records boss had had a brief romance with Soundcity VJ,
Jules. The couple then, were known to always openly flaunt
their romance on social media without a care in the world.
Somewhere in between, the ‘Carry Am Go’
rapper also dated the 20-year old Delta-State born model and video vixen, Ada
Beverly Osu. Although the former partners have denied it, there were
reports that they were at some point engaged.
‘We were never engaged, we only dated and
anyone could have had thoughts of taking it to the next level but that never
happened’ the Babcock University undergraduate told Sunday
Sun.
When NET later requested for further comments, he
said,‘This is the part of my life that I will like to keep away from the
public. If you notice, it was only a small crowd that were there because I
needed to strike a line between my public and private lives. So please don’t
ask me anything concerning my marriage’.
Multiple sources told us that 2Shotz and Precious
met sometime in the last quarter of last year and ‘the romance took off
immediately.’
